The Janitor is returning to clean up the Scrubs revival

Neil Flynn and Christa Miller are returning to Sacred Heart for some hospital hijinks on the Scrubs revival.

The Janitor is returning to clean up the Scrubs revival

Ahead of its February 25 premiere, the Scrubs revival is already getting off to a pretty good start. After 16 years away, Scrubs returns with a B+ rating from The A.V. Club, with writer Josh Spiegel calling the new batch of episodes “as good as it gets for a revival” that is “mercifully enjoyable.” If there’s one thing that has returning patients a little worried, though, it’s the lack of sarcastic custodians not cleaning up Sacred Heart. Well, allow the Scrubs Instagram account to ease your fears. “Neil Flynn is back,” a post from today announced. And “he is SO back,” it continues.

Flynn isn’t the only one checking back in. Per TVLine, Christa Miller is also reprising the role of Dr. Cox’s ex-wife and lover, Jordan Sullivan, for some more acidic romance. “All I can say is that it’s stuff that we all deal with as we get older,” showrunner Aseem Batra tells TVLine of Jordan’s storyline. “And it’s something that, hopefully, when we talk about the dynamic between J.D. and Dr. Cox, it gives us even more rich places to go with those two characters.”

Both Flynn and Miller are expected to appear in one episode each on the nine-episode revival season. Assuming this goes well, though, one can imagine the Janitor returning to make J.D.’s life a living hell in future episodes.
