Good news for anybody who’s ever looked at Lady Gaga’s life of activism, elaborate costuming, and occasional pop music, and thought, “I need to know more”: Netflix has announced that it’s acquired a new documentary about the celebrated musical shapeshifter, titled Lady Gaga: Five Foot Two.
Directed by Chris Moukarbel—whose previous work includes HBO’s Sex On// and a Banksy documentary—the film will track “a series of personal highs and lows and the culmination of a year’s emotional journey” for Gaga, who’s also currently gearing up to star in the latest remake of A Star Is Born, opposite Bradley Cooper. Five Foot Two will air on Netflix on September 22, after making its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
