Netflix is teaming up with Oscar-winner Damien Chazelle for a new musical project, issuing a press release today stating that the streaming service has acquired Chazelleā€™s new TV seriesĀ The Eddy. As we reported back in April, the show will center on a Parisian nightclub and its various associated hangers-on.

Chazelleā€”whose past credits include high-profile music-adjacent projects like Whiplash and La La Landā€”will executive produce and direct two of the seriesā€™ eight episodes, from scripts penned by Harry Potter And The Cursed Child writer Jack Thorne. Meanwhile, multiple Grammy-winner Glen Ballard will write original music for the show.
