Representing both a lifelong “dream role” for the actor and yet another chance to make Sideways jokes for the audience, here’s Paul Giamatti as The Rhino in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man: 2 Many Villains, 2 Little Time Because There Are Also 2 To 3 Love Interests. Director Marc Webb tweeted out the above photo over the weekend, confirming he’s faithfully transposed the Eastern European thug to the big screen by giving Giamatti tattoos and a tracksuit, and then perhaps later he’ll get all that super-powered rhinoceros stuff.
