Vanity Fair has released a first look at Nicole Kidman in Destroyer, the new film from The Invitation’s Karyn Kusama. And it looks like Kidman and Kusama are going the Sharp Objects “drinking straight from the bottle” route with this one. “We always knew that what we wanted her to look like was a real middle-aged woman with a past that she wears on her face,” Kusama says of her vision for Kidman’s character, a LAPD cop haunted by her experience going undercover 20 years ago. “With sun damage and sleep deprivation and stress and rage, just in her whole physical body.” Plus bangs!
