Plow United gets back in the groove with Three

What makes Plow United’s reunion different from so many others is that it has never really felt like one. After splitting in 1998, the Pennsylvania by-way-of Delaware band grew in stature as its full-length records became canon for fans of rough-hewn, melodic punk. When the band reactivated in 2011, it found itself playing for a cult audience hungry for more from the trio, and its post-reunion material proved just as vital as the songs from its initial run. Today, The A.V. Club is streaming all of Three, the second record since Plow United got back together in 2011 and its first for It’s Alive Records. Produced by Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls, Three shows that even though its members have aged, Plow United is just as energetic as it ever was.

Three is available now through It’s Alive Records and Plow United is playing a pair of record release shows this weekend in both Philadelphia and Brooklyn.
