On March 25, HBO will introduce viewers to Barry, a new comedy from Bill Hader and Silicon Valley’s Alec Berg in which Hader plays a hitman who gives up his life of crime after he’s bit by the acting bug while tailing a target in Los Angeles. It’s one of The A.V. Club’s most anticipated new shows of 2018, so we’re similarly eager about teaming up with HBO and our friends and colleagues at The Onion to present three (free!) Barry premiere events in three cities across the U.S. this month. The first two episodes will screen in Portland (the Oregon one), San Diego, and Chicago, followed by a cast-member Q&A (moderated by me, A.V. Club TV editor Erik Adams), and a “Bar-ry Takeover” after-party with complementary food and drink. Each event will be hosted by Barry co-star Henry Winkler, who’ll be joined by Hader and Berg (and maybe more TBD) in San Diego.
