Sean Penn to grunt his way through the Angry Birds movie

Sean Penn, alleged by some to be a very angry actor who hits people, has settled snugly into the role of a very angry bird that hits pigs. According to Digital Spy, Penn has joined the cast of The Angry Birds Movie, voicing Terrance, a big red bird who only grunts. The news was announced by producer John Cohen via Twitter:

Penn joins a cast that includes Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, and—hey, why not—Charli XCX.

Penn’s other projects these days include playing Andrew Jackson in an HBO miniseries and starring in a lawsuit he filed against Empire creator Lee Daniels for essentially calling the actor abusive, which would be over by now if both parties could simply erect some slingshots and settle this thing like birds.
