Of course, some might also argue that the show, based on the real lives of researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson, had plenty of time to finish and it should have hurried up already. Deadline reports that the network decided that the fourth season’s finale, which featured the marriage of the two lead characters, was as good a time as ever to pull out.
