Sleep announces even more reunion dates

One-and-done reunions are hardly ever such. For those who held off on the travel expenses to get to last year’s All Tomorrow’s Parties in England, here’s what you probably already saw coming: Stoner-metal overlords Sleep have announced a string of September dates, following their (second) ATP reunion this fall in New York. The band’s “exclusive” set at last year’s festival—playing 1993’s Holy Mountain in its entirety, along with selections from its 73-minute opus Dopesmoker—was apparently only exclusive to 2009, as Sleep has plans to do the exact same on this tour. At least one thing is different: Original drummer Chris Hakius is being replaced by Neurosis’ Jason Roeder, who rounds out the lineup of guitarist Matt Pike (High On Fire, Kalas) and bassist Al Cisneros (OM, Shrinebuilder). Dates are limited—though we’ve certainly heard that before.

Sept. 3: All Tomorrow’s Parties, Monticello, New York
Sept. 7: Starlight Ballroom, Philadelphia
Sept. 8: Brooklyn Masonic Temple, New York
Sept. 9: Logan Square Auditorium, Chicago
Sept. 10: Mohawk, Austin
Sept. 11: Roseland Theater, Portland
Sept. 12: Regency Ballroom, San Francisco
