YouTuber Todd In The Shadows cataloged his “favorite cliché in music” and made a compilation of songs that pause after someone says “stop.” The phenomenon is cross-genre and covers many decades of music—although, from the ratio in the compilation, Britney Spears seems to be one of the biggest offenders.
