According to the Apple synopsis, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is “a half hour darkly comedic thriller about a newly divorced mom who falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer.” Sounds like an average day for Orphan Black‘s Alison Hendrix, doesn’t it? (Not that we’re complaining: the misadventures of Alison Hendrix would make a worthy spin-off.) The 10-episode series was created by David J. Rosen (Sugar, Hunters), who will serve as showrunner.
Beyond starring as Marvel’s She-Hulk, the Emmy winner previously appeared opposite Matthew Rhys on the short-lived HBO drama Perry Mason. She’s done a lot of theater work in her post-Orphan Black career, most recently starring in Marin Ireland’s play Pre-Existing Condition in New York in 2024. She can currently be seen in Oz Perkins’ latest horror flick The Monkey, and if you stick around after the credits of that movie you’ll get a teaser of her next collab with Perkins, Keeper. Perkins described Keeper, due out in October, as a “relationship horror that takes place in, more or less, one location.” (The synopsis: “During an anniversary getaway at a remote cabin, a wife is left alone after her husband departs, only to confront a sinister presence that exposes the cabin’s chilling past.”) Speaking with IndieWire, Perkins added that “Tatiana Maslany… is just the greatest. She’s so infinite. I’m so lucky to have her.” Let the Maslanissance commence!
