The creator of No Man’s Sky has been getting death threats for delaying the game
For a couple of years, No Man’s Sky has been one of the most highly anticipated titles in all of video gaming. Part of the reason for this is that the developers at Hello Games have been promising the moon—or at least a moon, since the open-world space-travel game will probably have millions of them. To get all of those moons right, though, the studio recently had to delay the release of the game by a couple of months (from June to August). That kind of delay isn’t especially unusual, but the response to it has been.
On Twitter, No Man’s Sky creator Sean Murray has revealed that he’s received “loads of death threats” since news about the delay came out, though he undercut the seriousness of that by also revealing that “Hello Games now looks like the house from Home Alone.”
