Don't hand over your credit card info to anyone claiming to be The Pitt's casting department
If you see an Instagram ad about joining the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center as an extra, it's probably a scam.

Scammers are getting more creative with their schemes and are now targeting locals hoping to be part of season three of The Pitt, according to two Pittsburg residents who spoke to KDKA Investigates. Fans Amber Dealmeida and Lauren Panza said that they both clicked Instagram ads claiming to offer opportunities to cast extras for the third season of the Emmy-winning HBO medical drama. Dealmeida said she signed up for a Zoom casting call hosted by Nine9, a subscription-based service that offers talent tools and access to a database with casting opportunities. According to Dealmeida, the call wasn’t exactly what she signed up for, and was more about promoting the company’s own services than offering an opportunity to join the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. “Who wants to be a model and who wants to do print ads and who wants to be in movies, but The Pitt was kind of thrown out there like a buzzword,” Dealmeida said, adding that she left the call after about 20 minutes.
