Look, we know this is a reference to the wrong cartoon, but this trailer for a live-action Futurama fan film is going to replace the whale in your nightmares. Remember how unsettling that Simpsons porn parody was? This is like that, but it has Zoidberg. Oh yeah, everybody loves Zoidberg when he’s a cartoon, but can you imagine how unbelievably shocking it would be to see something like him in real life? Well, thanks to this trailer, you don’t have to imagine it anymore.
Thankfully, once the initial terror subsides, this thing really is impressive. The fact that the filmmakers managed to recreate the look of Futurama in live-action is quite a feat, especially considering just how disturbing a few of these characters are outside of the cartoon. Plus, there are a bunch of quick nods to the show, including glimpses of Nixon, the Hypnotoad, and Nibbler.
