Tim Heidecker joins the star-studded cast of Jordan Peele's next movie, Us
Although he’s continuing to stay tight-lipped about the actual plot of his directorial follow-up to recent Oscar-winner Get Out—outside of noting that his new film, Us, is about relationships, and will be a “social horror thriller” in a familiar vein—Jordan Peele continues to assemble a pretty stellar cast for whatever the hell it is he’s actually up to. So far, he’s cast Black Panther’s Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke, and The Handmaid’s Tale’s Elisabeth Moss in starring roles, with Vanity Fair speculating that the trio will play three-quarters of the film’s central pair of couples. Now, THR reports that weird comedy mastermind (and occasional dramatic actor) Tim Heidecker has joined the cast as well, presumably promising a certain base level of guaranteed uncomfortableness to the future proceedings
It’s not clear whether Heidecker will be playing Moss’ opposite number (or anything else about his role, for that matter). He’s been keeping fairly busy in recent months, though, offering up a decent mix of his own projects—organizing a live tour of On Cinema At The Cinema and the upcoming A24 comedy series Moonbase 8—along with more mainstream stuff, like a cameo in the recent Ant Man And The Wasp.
Us is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 15, 2019.
