Similar to Emilio Estevez's Bobby, about the assassination of JFK's brother Robert, the film will focus on supporting players in the historical drama, including the doctors and nurses who attended to the dying president (Zac Efron, Colin Hanks, and Marcia Gay Harden); the priest who administered last rites (Jackie Earle Haley); the Secret Servicemen assigned to protect Kennedy (Billy Bob Thornton and Tom Welling); and Abraham Zapruder (Paul Giamatti), whose last name will forever by synonymous with the film he made of the assassination.
Ron Livingston plays James Hosty, an FBI agent who had investigated Oswald previous to the assassination (and was portrayed in Oliver Stone's JFK as central to the conspiracy behind the assassination). No word as to whether the film will explore the numerous theories as to Oswald's motivations and possible co-conspirators, and as of yet, no word as to who will be playing Kennedy himself.
