“Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump stated on his bespoke social media platform Truth Social. “The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election…” Trump closed out the tirade by beseeching his followers to “BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK.”
Unfortunately for the leader of the free world, few are boycotting Springsteen’s “overpriced concerts” these days, with nearly all of the singer’s 20 “Land of Hope and Dreams” American tour dates already sold out. Springsteen has been open about using his platform to denigrate Trump, calling his administration “corrupt, incompetent, racist, reckless, and treasonous” on the tour’s Tuesday opener in Minneapolis. Springsteen, long hailed as an icon of American music, has never been quiet about his political proclivities: he performed at president Joseph R. Biden’s inauguration in 2021 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama in 2016. Trump didn’t always think the boss was “very boring”: their feud began when Trump used Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A” without The Boss’s permission in 2016. Springsteen responded by calling the president a “flagrant, toxic narcissist” and a “moron,” calling on fans to vote for Hillary Clinton. Springsteen also openly campaigned for Kamala Harris, prompting the President to post a doctored video of himself hitting Springsteen with a golf ball and to call for a “major investigation” into celebrity campaign endorsements in May 2025.
