Viddy the twisted mashup of A Clockwork Orange and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

A Clockwork Orange really doesn’t need any help in the controversy department. (Director Stanley Kubrick pulled it from circulation after the X-rated film was blamed for a series of copycat crimes, and an uncut version wasn’t seen in the U.K. until 2000.) So while rendering Anthony Burgess’ tale of rape, ultra-violence and Beethoven in the style of David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trailer is more of a lateral move than a step up in terms of impact, the combination feels appropriate. This online mashup of two of the more disturbingly rape-related Oscar nominees (shoutout to Jodie Foster) in recent memory comes courtesy of filmmaker Henry Chastain, who specializes in this sort of thing. He really missed an opportunity by not calling it The Droog With The Dragon Tattoo, though.
