It was a holiday weekend, but the box office looked about the same as it did any other weekend. Once again, Spider-Man: Brand New Day sat at the number one spot of the weekly grosses, a spot it has now held for six weeks. The superhero movie brought in another $18.2 million, inching its domestic total closer to $1 billion. Of course, it crossed that benchmark at the global box office long ago, and has since done it twice over. Rounding out the top three of the weekend were The Odyssey and Coyote Vs. Acme, though they swapped places from last weekend. The Odyssey added another $13 million to its domestic haul, while Coyote Vs. Acme pulled in just shy of $12 million.
