Wednesday (Netflix, Wednesday, 3:01 a.m.)
Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is back on Netflix with four new episodes of her titular show. (The season’s remaining four drop next month.) Back at Nevermore Academy with her younger brother, Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), she becomes determined to save the life of her roommate, Enid (Emma Myers), after learning her fate. The cast also includes Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, and Lady Gaga and Billie Piper make appearances this time around. Look for The A.V. Club‘s review this week.
Outlander: Blood Of My Blood (Starz, Friday, 8 p.m.)
Outlander‘s prequel features a double dose of romance as it tracks the love stories of Claire and Jamie’s respective parents. Julia (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), who got married after World War I, time travel to 1714 Scotland and meet Ellen (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), a pair engaged in a complicated affair. The A.V. Club‘s review of the show publishes Monday.
