New this week
Little Disasters (Paramount+, Wednesday, 12 a.m., series premiere)
This six-part miniseries from Ruth Fowler (BBC One’s Rules Of The Game) finds a group of mom friends torn apart when a doc begins to question the circumstances of an injured baby. Diane Kruger, Jo Joyner, Ben Bailey Smith, and Bridgerton‘s Shelley Conn co-star. The A.V. Club‘s review of the show publishes Wednesday.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (Netflix, Friday, 3 a.m.)
Rian Johnson sets his latest Knives Out whodunit in a small-town parish, with Daniel Craig’s flamboyant sleuth, Benoit Blanc, looking into the earnest Rev. Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor). Andrew Scott (speaking of hot priests), Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, and Kerry Washington pad out the characteristically star-studded congregation. Check out The A.V. Club’s review of the film.
Spinal Tap II: The End Continues (HBO Max, Friday, 3 a.m.)
