New this week
Paradise (Hulu, Monday, 3 a.m., season two premiere)
In season two, Sterling K. Brown’s Xavier Collins braves the world outside of that secret doomsday shelter in desperate search for his wife Teri (Enuka Okuma). Yes, this time around, the post-apocalyptic thriller explores how both the subterranean dwellers and aboveground survivors get on and welcomes newcomers Shailene Woodley and Thomas Doherty to the cast. Scrubs (ABC, Wednesday, 8 p.m., season 10 premiere)
We’re all just gonna pretend that ninth season didn’t happen, right? Cool. Docs J.D. Dorian (Zach Braff), Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke), and Christopher Turk (Donald Faison) are scrubbing in once again for more hijinks at Sacred Heart. Cast additions for the revival include Vanessa Bayer and Joel Kim Booster. Check out The A.V. Club’s review.
Bridgerton (Netflix, Thursday, 3 a.m., season four, volume two premiere)
After that proposal from Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) to his housemaid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) in volume one, the period drama returns to answer a very pressing question: Will the rakish gent ignore the harsh realities of social demands and class tensions for his one true love? See how it all shakes out—and read The A.V. Club’s review of the new episodes—on Thursday.
