Brad Pitt is taking another shot at a World War Z sequel

The sequel has been in development since before audiences got their first bite of globe-hopping zombie adventure, with Forster and Paramount believing the film was the first in a trilogy, based on Max Brooks’ best-selling novel, a faux oral history loaded with stories and characters of the fictional apocalypse. But that was before Lost heavyweights Damon Lindelof and Drew Goddard were brought in to salvage the film’s final act. Since World War Z exploded at the box office, a sequel has been in development, but after a few years of false starts and Pitt enlisting his old pal David Fincher to direct, the sequel fell apart because of budget issues. With Resident Evil and The Last Of Us bringing zombies back, now might be the time for another stab at a sequel. We’ll see if our heroes can work together to defeat the zombie horde or, like so many before them, fall into bickering and learn that they were the real monsters all along.
