The Yellowjackets of past and present are cracking in final trailer for final season

At this point, it feels like we’ve been waiting for the Yellowjackets to come home for longer than they have. They were only in the woods for 19 or so months, and it’s been about that long since the previous season premiered in February 2025. That’s not even considering the fact that we first started watching them in November 2021. In short, it’s definitely time for the girls (and Travis) to come home, even if, as the latest (and presumably final) trailer for the season makes it clear that that has plenty of challenges of its own.

Of course, there has always been basically zero chance of the Yellowjackets ever successfully reintegrating into society. Thanks to the split timeline of the show, we’ve always known who at least some of the survivors were going to be, and how some of them were wrapped in cults and killing animals for fun or eating dirt. But with today’s trailer, we also know that people were less than keen to sit with them in the cafeteria when they got back, which, you know, isn’t the worst thing they’ve had to deal with, but it stings nonetheless. The other people in New Jersey may view the girls (and Travis!) as heroes, but they still want to keep them at an arm’s distance.

The final season of Yellowjackets, which creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson told us they “ended the shit out of,” premieres on Showtime and Paramount+ on November 20.
