1960s-styled X-Men: First Class fan-made credits are classy, Saul Bass-y

There’s a solid chance that the opening credits to the upcoming X-Men: First Class will be the sort of flashy, nausea-inducing CGI that usually opens Marvel-branded movies, but this fan-made title sequence from Vimeo user Joe D makes a strong case for going in a different direction. His retro take on the new X-Men—which harkens to Saul Bass and classic James Bond credits sequences—nods heavily to the film’s setting in the midst of the Cuban Missile Crisis, but in a totally classy, not-gimmicky way… right down to that melancholy rendition of the theme song from the ’90s X-Men cartoon.
