The most shocking thing about 2012’s Sinister was that it was actually a well-made and effective horror movie. Well, that and Bughuul, the ancient, soul-eating, child-abducting demon from a dark realm. Anyway, the movie scared the pants off enough people that it’s getting a sequel this year, which hits theaters on August 21. Sinister 2 stars Shannyn Sossamon and James Ransone, reprising his fan favorite role as a local deputy caught up in the supernatural shenanigans of Bughuul and its creepy orphan-ghost pals. In anticipation of the film’s release, The A.V. Club and Summit Entertainment are giving away a special prize package, which includes Sinister on DVD, a film reel canister, a plastic rat, a Bughuul print, and a USB drive featuring one of the horrifying “home movies” from the film.
