Carrot Top hospitalized after alleged suicide attempt

A representative for Carrot Top (whose real name is Scott Thompson) issued a statement to TMZ, saying that “Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs. His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers, and respectfully ask for privacy.”

Although less prominent in the public sphere than he was during his heyday in the 1990s—where he appeared on TV shows and commercials, served as a regular guest on the late-night circuit, and starred in his own movie, Chairman Of The Board—Thompson, 61, has become a Vegas institution over the last 20 years, with his Luxor residency the longest-running one in the city. (His association with Vegas was most recently highlighted to a wider audience with a cameo appearance on Hacks back in 2024.)
