Christopher Nolan begins picking out only the finest actresses for The Dark Knight Rises

Christopher Nolan currently lies resplendent on a golden-tasseled casting couch, listlessly clapping his hands and demanding he be brought Hollywood’s fairest maidens for his imperious assessment of whether they deserve to be bathed by eunuchs and dressed in silk for inclusion in his next Batman movie film, or sent back to the streets to grovel for drachmas in lesser genre fare. Or, as Deadline puts it, Nolan is “lining up actresses” for The Dark Knight Rises and its two female leads—one of which will be Bruce Wayne’s new, surely doomed love interest, while the other will reportedly be a villain. As of right now those actresses include Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, and Keira Knightley. Assign your premature Linda Page/Silver St. Cloud/Catwoman/Poison Ivy etc. to these ladies as you wish, because Nolan obviously isn’t saying anything right now, merely plucking his lute discordantly and quietly plotting his empire.
