Digitally inclined dad turns his 3-year-old son into an action star
While most people try their best to separate work from play, those who work with CGI can combine the two in a way that makes everyday life seem extraordinary. Enter Daniel Hashimoto, who works in animation and digital effects at Dreamworks. His 3-year-old son, aptly referred to as Action Movie Kid, has been starring in a series of super short YouTube videos that turn everyday kid stuff into action-packed silliness. From slicing through the Toys R Us aisle with a lightsaber to dodging a floor that is actually lava, Hashimoto edits his son’s imagination into real life. Needless to say, it’s adorable, and this family likely has the most interesting collection of home videos. Watch a few of them below, and check out the rest on Action Movie Kid’s YouTube channel.
