Warner Bros. offers Dune: Part III character posters to soothe wounded Muad'Dib

Though he was turned into a punching bag at last night’s Oscars, Timothée Chalamet bounces back with some very revealing Dune: Part III character posters.

Warner Bros. offers Dune: Part III character posters to soothe wounded Muad'Dib

Last night was not Timothée Chalamet’s night. As many have already noted, his “swagger” likely alienated voters long before his comments about the ballet and opera turned him into a last-minute villain. Still, his comments and seat location provided an open target to pretty much anyone on stage who wanted to take a shot at the 30-year-old wunderkind. Alas, he went home empty handed, forced to console himself in the loving arms of Kylie Jenner before falling asleep on a pile of money. Plus, he has a new installment in his billion dollar, Oscar-nominated franchise on the horizon. No, we have not seen the last of Timothée Chalamet. In fact, the fine folks at Warner Bros. have already given us a new look at him as Paul Attredis in Dune: Part III.

Now likely retired from opera and ballet criticism, Chalamet was first to posted his character poster from Dune: Part III, which resembles the face of a man being relentlessly mocked at the Oscars. Shortly after, Warner Bros. followed suit and posted character posters from numerous other characters. And unlike the character posters from Smallfoot, which alerted the world that “Zendaya is Meechee,” the Dune III character posters offer some genuine news about the upcoming Dune. But, yes, Zendaya is Chani, and Dunkin Idaho (Jason Momoa) is back. That one is hardly a surprise for Dune-heads who know are well aware that, by the time Frank Herbert got around to God Emperor Of Dune, Idaho had evolved into a sandworm-human hybrid. We can only hope that director Denis Villenuve is including some of that in his “epic conclusion.”

But, wait, there’s more. We also get our first look at Robert Pattinson, clearly adept in the “Weirding Way,” and Florence Pugh, cleary in need of sunblock. There are also new cast members, such as Isaach de Bankolé, who plays Farok, and our first look at Alia Atreides (Anya Taylor-Joy), all grown up and covered in blood.

Deadline reports that the first trailer for Dune Part III will ornithopter in tomorrow. For now, feast on the spice of these character posters.
