One of the biggest studio releases of the week is Walt Disney’s weirdo (but not quite weirdo enough) live-action take on The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, but you’d be better served watching the Mickey Mouse version, now available on Blu-ray in the Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 double-pack. Disney fans will also want to note the trio of documentaries about the studio’s history being released today: Walt & El Grupo (about Walt Disney’s excursion to South America), The Boys (about composers Robert and Richard Sherman), and Waking Sleeping Beauty (about the animation division’s remarkable ‘90s revival). Elsewhere this week, TV fans can start getting ready for the 2011 return of Parks And Recreation with the DVD set of the show’s phenomenal second season. And for those always on the lookout for something different in the world of horror and/or art-films, we direct your attention to the Deagol brothers’ feature filmmaking debut Make-Out With Violence, about teenage twin brothers and the zombie girl they love.
