Fox gives Bob’s Burgers 2 more seasons
Once again foiling Mr. Fischoeder’s dastardly schemes, Variety reports that Fox has renewed the show that launched a thousand (okay, more like a hundred) burger specials, Bob’s Burgers, for two more seasons. “Six seasons in, the Belchers have become one of America’s most beloved TV families, and we are so happy to keep them in the fold for another two seasons,” Fox entertainment president David Madden says in a statement. “Bob’s Burgers is hilarious, warm, smart, inventive … and we look forward to seeing what Bob and the family will cook up in seasons seven and eight.”
As well as winning the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program in 2014, Bob’s Burgers counts A.V. Club favorites like Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, and H. Jon Benjamin among its voice talent. The Belchers’ struggling fast-food joint has managed to outlast all of its punnily-named neighbors, and with the two-season pickup, will outlast a few dozen more (football willing).
