The Adults are alright. In fact, they’re better than alright. The FX sitcom, which, unsurprisingly, The A.V. Club has already named one of the best and funniest shows on television, is a bona fide hit. Much like the characters who are slowly but surely learning what it takes to make it in this workaday world, the audience is growing in season two. According to FX, and taken with a grain of salt, the show’s audience has grown more than 40% on Hulu and Disney+, as international viewership grew 100% in the 12 days since its second-season premiere. It’s perhaps a reason to be optimistic, especially following reports of Netflix’s second-season crisis, which saw drops in viewership for Four Seasons, Beef, and A Man On The Inside, among others. Strangely, FX wasn’t happy enough with the audience growth to announce a third season.
