Hemlock Grove’s third season will be its last
In a fitting end for Netflix’s own True Blood, TV Line reports that the streaming service has simultaneously renewed Hemlock Grove for a third season and canceled it. Executive producer Eli Roth thanked the show’s fans in a statement announcing the cancellation, saying, “We are looking forward to taking the last and final season into some dark and unexpected places, and to giving viewers the killer finale you’d come to expect from Hemlock Grove.”
Apparently Hemlock Grove’s second season was better than its first, without sacrificing all the gruesome werewolf scenes and graphic nudity that are the raison d’etre for a show such as this one. (We wouldn’t know; The A.V. Club gave up on it after a particularly scarring experience with season one.)
