How about a gender-swapped remake of What About Bob?

According to Variety, NBC has given a pilot order to a gender-swapped adaptation of What About Bob?, Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss’ 1991 comedy about a therapist who tries to escape his annoying and intrusive patient. Naturally, the NBC version will be called What About Barb?, because that’s the closest female-equivalent name that the network could use without scaring people off by making it too different. What About Barb? will be a single-camera comedy from Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, who have worked on a wide range of TV projects including New Girl, The Odd Couple, and the mercifully short-lived 1600 Penn.

Variety doesn’t have any other concrete details about the project, but it will presumably follow the plot of the movie in a more extensive and drawn-out fashion.
