Indie act YACHT says mass-market department store Kohl's is ripping it off

Electro-dance act YACHT has accused Kohl’s of copyright infringement, after the department store chain printed a T-shirt using both the band’s lyrics and an element of the band’s logo. The band says the shirt—which reads, “If I can’t go to heaven, then I’m going to L.A.”—is a direct rip-off of its song “Shangri-La,” which features the lyric, “If I can’t go to heaven, let me go to L.A.” The shirt also uses a triangle in place of several of the A’s, echoing the band's logo.
