Let’s face it: One Direction has some pretty catchy songs. And some of those songs were written by Jamie Scott, who’ll release his solo debut, My Hurricane, later this year on Virgin Records. Scott’s penned “Story Of My Life,” “You & I,” and “More Than This” for 1D, but the record’s title track, which The A.V. Club is premiering below, is all him. Both the record and the song are about recent grown-ass turns in Scott’s life, like how he’s recently become both a father and a husband, and while much of My Hurricane centers around a fictional couple, it still seems more than personal to Scott.
