Jennifer Jason Leigh to play the female lead in The Hateful Eight
The Wrap reports that Quentin Tarantino has recruited Jennifer Jason Leigh to star in his upcoming Western The Hateful Eight. We already know a lot about The Hateful Eight, including what it’s about, where and when it will film, and how its director responds to having his work leaked onto the Internet (in short: not well). Some people have already seen it, sort of.
Leigh was there, and she watched Amber Tamblyn read the role she would eventually play on the big screen while sitting next to Bob and Harvey Weinstein. A shared box of Junior Mints and a couple of meetings later, Leigh is set to play Daisy Domergue, a prisoner condemned to hang for murder who gets trapped in a snowstorm with two bounty hunters and a local sheriff. As for the remaining haters, Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, and Walton Goggins are all safe bets.
