John Mulaney and a drag celebration of Romy And Michele to headline Comedy Central's 2019 Clusterfest
Comedy Central and Superfly’s Clusterfest has quickly emerged as the world’s go-to festival for all things hilarious, and though this year’s lineup is positively brimming with A-list talent—John Mulaney! Issa Rae! Chelsea Peretti!—it’s a live reading of 1997 cult comedy Romy And Michele’s High School Reunion that has us scribbling the festival’s dates on a pad of Post-Its. Why? Because it will star drag luminaries (and RuPaul’s Drag Race alums) Trixie Mattel and Katya—not to mention scene staple Peaches Christ—and their outfits, we’d venture to guess, are going to be sick.
Anyways, the talent doesn’t end there. Joining the aforementioned names at San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium will be Patton Oswalt, Ilana Glazer, Tig Notaro, Leslie Jones, Anthony Jeselnik, and the OG Sinbad. Musical guests include Australian rocker Courtney Barnett and the sumptuous, blush-inducing indie of Japanese Breakfast, while the podcast slate features the ladies of My Favorite Murder, the bros of R U Talkin’ R.E.M. RE: ME?, and the pundits of Lovett or Leave It.
See the full lineup and snatch up tickets—which will be available for previous guests tomorrow and for newbies on Monday—at the Clusterfest website.
