Jon Hamm signs on for three more years of Mad Men
Jon Hamm is now also extremely well compensated, with Deadline reporting that he’s just secured an eight-figure deal with AMC and Lionsgate that will make him one of the highest-paid actors on cable, so he also has that going for him. But more importantly, Hamm’s new contract is for three years, aligning with the recent deal made by Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner to keep the show on the air through at least its sixth and possibly seventh season. With Hamm locked down, that seventh season now seems like a sure thing, and it guarantees Mad Men’s final year won’t find Don Draper marrying an Army medic and quickly moving overseas, and then following Peggy as she moves to Burbank and works in an aerospace testing facility.
