Josh O’Connor is dressed for a funeral in first look at Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

It’s obviously unclear from the photo what the character’s deal is: whether he’s working for or against Blanc, his guilt or innocence. Of course, that’s not the kind of thing you necessarily want to know going into it. O’Connor has said a bit about working with Craig during their Actors On Actors session for Variety late last year. “I’ve never experienced anything like it on a film set. We were all in each other’s pockets for three months. Particularly you and me,” he told the former James Bond. “Most of the time you and me.” Lest he get close to anything resembling a spoiler, he went on to talk about how nice the trailers on set were. (Marvel would love him.) But like contemporary murder mystery The White Lotus, less is more as far as learning too much before viewing. 

The rest of the cast for Wake Up Dead Man includes Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, Thomas Haden Church. Rian Johnson returns to write and direct, but don’t plan on learning too much more before the film premieres sometime this fall.
