Larry David, of all people, is out here telling people they’re getting Walk Of Fame stars

The Larry David we see on Curb Your Enthusiasm and the Larry David one might see on the streets of L.A. are different people. Well, sorta. Factor in the comedian’s combative legacy (and his demeanor on morning talk shows), however, and the lines between reality and fiction begin to blur.

It’s safe to assume, then, that any delivery of good news from David would come with a healthy dose of cynicism and at least the teeniest touch of resentment. So, when he informed Lin-Manuel Miranda and “Weird Al” Yankovic that they were getting stars on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame this past summer, we’re sure he was quick to mention that he’s yet to get one himself.

Just look at how annoyed David looks.

Miranda and Yankovic actually found out back in June, but couldn’t reveal it was David who told them as it would spoil their upcoming appearances on the new season of Curb (Miranda appeared in this past week’s episode). Here’s Miranda’s original tweet.

Still, there’s lots of unanswered questions here. Why was David the one to tell them? Why is he privy to this information? Did he drop a “who cares” after telling them the news?

Seriously, though: LD for class of 2019.
