Smashing Pumpkins and Charli XCX to headline Lollapalooza 2026
Tate McRae, Lorde, Olivia Dean, John Summit, JENNIE, and The xx have also been tapped to lead the beloved Chicago festival’s four-day schedule.

Lollapalooza is returning to Chicago in July for its annual festival, taking over Grant Park from Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, August 2. The slate of headliners is a multi-generational, multi-genre affair, as Smashing Pumpkins, Charli XCX, Tate McRae, Lorde, Olivia Dean, John Summit, JENNIE, and The xx will share a bill. But that’s just the first column. Further down, groups like Geese, TURNSTILE, Clipse, Water From Your Eyes, Momma, Wet Leg, Quadeca, Wolf Alice, Wunderhorse, and MUNA are set to perform. Soloists such as Oklou, Ethel Cain, Audrey Hobert, Little Simz, Slayyyter, Jim Legxacy, Finn Wolfhard, and Ninajirachi will also appear. And I’m delighted to see two recent Best of What’s Next recipients, Case Oats and Die Spitz, on the card.
