Nearly 100 Doctor Who episodes were erased during some routine culling of the BBC’s archives back in the 1960s and ’70s. Among the episodes lost was the six-part “The Power Of The Daleks” story, which saw the first appearance of Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor. There are some traces of that story arc out there: audio recordings, stills, and in the memories of viewers like you. But fans no longer have to dramatize the arrival of the Second Doctor with hand puppets and transcripts—according to io9, the BBC has animated the “Power Of The Daleks” story, and will release the serial in early November.
