Matt Reeves has a new The Batman: Part II image for you to squint at

Even if one must work on this most hallowed of holidays, there’s no reason one can’t enjoy some Batman-related frippery. Take director Matt Reeves, who paused his social media hiatus while filming The Batman: Part II to post a new image from the hotly-anticipated sequel that Bat-fans will no doubt spend much of their Batman Day squinting at, looking for something that might be a clue that will crack the movie’s top-secret plot wide open. “Happy Batman Day to everyone from London!” the director wrote, meaning that he’s greeting everyone from Part II‘s London production and not reserving his Batman Day greetings exclusively for the citizens of London, England.

The image Reeves shares captures the spirit of the elusive creature of the night who owns a bitchin’ muscle car, while depicting what Robert Pattinson’s dark knight detective might look like during a snowy evening framed from behind. And look! There’s Pattinson’s Batman (with his thicker, longer bat-ears!), walking towards a, um, is that a snowy city park? A snowy junkyard? A snowy Shining hedge maze of some sort? What the hell are we looking at? Oh, that Reeves!
