Michael Keaton’s going to Spider-Man: Homecoming as Vulture
If you’ve fired off the pertinent Futurama or Simpsons-inspired memes about the current state of things, perhaps you’re ready to get back to more pressing matters—namely, Michael Keaton’s impending return to comic-book movies. The former Batman hemmed and hawed for a while about attending Spider-Man: Homecoming, but he finally agreed to go—even if it’s stag—back in May. Keaton’s role wasn’t announced at the time, though the buzz was that he’d be playing Vulture, a.k.a. Adrian Toomes, who was actually the second villain Spider-Man tangled with in the comics. Marvel boss Kevin Feige has just laid those concerns to rest, confirming the role to the Toronto Sun albeit in an offhanded manner.
