Morrissey, the one-time Smiths singer who’s probably bailed on more shows than he’s performed, is again tempting fate with a new batch of dates. Moz is angling for a new audience with this new residency, however, having announced seven shows at New York City’s Lunt-Fontanne Theater. The Broadway engagement runs from May 2 to 11, and will, per a press release, present “an intimate yet exciting exploration of Morrissey’s expansive career from his early days to his upcoming new record California Son.” This being Morrissey, one can also likely expect diversions into fringe U.K. politics, thoughts on #MeToo, and his starchy veganism.
