Ghostface will try to kill Neve Campbell again in Scream 8

Neve Campbell has played final girl Sidney Prescott in six out of the seven existing Scream movies. The exception was Scream 6, when the production didn’t want to pay her what she wanted. Then Melissa Barrera spoke out in support of Palestine, and Scream decided it would rather sign Campbell’s check than take a political stand. Anyway, she’s about to go seven for eight, as she recently told the Associated Press. “You know I can never tell you anything about Scream 8,” she said, coyly, before simply adding, “I’ll be in it.”

So what do we know about Scream 8, other than the fact that Campbell will be in it? Lilla and Nora Zuckerman of Poker Face were tapped to write the new movie back in March, which apparently came from an idea from Campbell. At that point, director Kevin Williamson said, “Neve had this great idea, and everyone seemed to run with it.” Otherwise, there is precious little information about the movie, with no one else in the cast yet confirmed to return. The only person who has actually been in all seven movies is Courteney Cox, so it seems like a safe guess that she’ll return for the eighth installment. But then again, stranger things have happened.
