Everyone seems to be enjoying Bright on Netflix, but the streaming service can’t survive on just bad fantasy cop movies. To that end, Deadline is reporting that Netflix has renewed Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It for a second season. Lee actually announced the news himself with an Instagram video, sounding genuinely excited that he gets to keep working with this new adaptation of his 1986 original film.

Series star DeWanda Wise, who plays Nola Darling on She’s Gotta Have It, also posted about the renewal with an Instagram post of her own and a video from the filming of the first season. The new season will most likely premiere in about a year, given how Netflix seasons usually work, but there’s no specific date yet.
